Professional Members
are well trained myofascial trigger point therapists (MTPT) who keep current by meeting our continuing education requirements. Many are Board Certified (CMTPT) and were trained in specialized programs that are over 100 hours and many have well over 600 hours of training in Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy based on Doctors Travell and Simons medical text. CMTPT (usually) indicates National Certification by the CBMTPT.
Associate Professional Members
are well trained myofascial trigger point therapists most of which have with over 100 hours of training or more of training in myofascial trigger point therapy based on Doctors Travell and Simons medical text.
Associate Professional-Allied Members
are health care providers, such as physicians, physical therapists, massage therapists, etc. that have varying degrees of training in trigger point therapy.

In this directory, you can find specialists in the treatment of myofascial pain, myofascial trigger point therapy, myofascial pain syndrome and usually fibromyalgia. These conditions are extremely common and the myofascial cause is far too often ignored. Most headaches, migraines, neck, arm, hand, shoulder, hip, leg, etc pain is primarily or at least partially caused by Myofascial Trigger Points.
